Where Engineering Meets Art

At Recion, our expertise in high-pressure and special piping solutions isn’t limited to energy, nuclear, and process industries. It also allows us to contribute to public art projects across Finland.

One recent example is Nuorallatanssija (The Rope Dancer) by renowned artist Pekka Jylhä. The six-metre-high sculpture shows a young girl balancing on a planet-shaped hoop – a symbol of courage in uncertain times.

Recion was responsible for producing the stainless steel hoop. Crafted in Ylivieska during spring and summer 2025, the process required precision, technical expertise, and skilled craftsmanship – a perfect example of where engineering meets creativity.

The sculpture now stands in the sculpture park at EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art.

This is not our first collaboration with Pekka Jylhä. We previously contributed to Peili (The Mirror) in Lamminrahka and Auringonkukka (The Sunflower) for the Tuusula Housing Fair. Projects like these showcase Recion’s technical expertise, attention to quality, and commitment to making a positive impact on society in creative and meaningful ways.
