Rothensee WtE plant, Müllheizkraftwerk Rothensee GmbH

Rothensee WtE plant, run by Müllheizkraftwerk Rothensee GmbH (owned by the SWM Städtishe Werke Magdeburg GmbH and EEW Energy from Waste GmbH), is a  waste combustion plant of 650.000 tons/a that produces electricity and district heating and started it’s operations in 2005. Now a third block equipped with latest Martin’s technology will be built beside the existing 2 units. Operation of the 3rd Unit will start in 2024.
