Recion delivers comprehensive project management and prefabrication services for industrial clients. With expertise in high-pressure piping systems, nuclear welding repairs, and boiler services, we also supply piping solutions to shipyards, and to the oil and mining sectors.
Significant cost savings and shorter delivery times
One of our core strengths lies in our pipe prefabrication facility in Ylivieska, Finland. With versatile piping solutions, especially in carbon and alloy steels, our workshop offers flexibility that has become one of our strongest competitive advantages. From this facility, we deliver reliable solutions for a wide range of industries.
How does prefabrication work? By replacing ready-made with efficient industrial welding and pipe bending, we create major cost advantages. In a well-planned project, more than 70% of welds can be completed in our workshop, ensuring higher quality, faster delivery, and less on-site labor. For example, lifting lugs can be pre-planned and delivered ready-made, creating a smoother installation workflow.
Work can also be carried out more safely in our controlled production environment compared to on-site conditions, where materials may range from carbon steel to austenitic steels. Another advantage is that all welds are inspected, X-rayed, and approved before leaving our workshop – saving significant time compared to inspections performed on-site.
Heat treatment under factory conditions
Our production facility includes advanced heat treatment furnaces that process components with high accuracy and efficiency. Combined with our hot and cold bending methods, we manufacture and deliver high-quality piping components tailored to customer specifications.
Our extensive range of machinery and equipment is specifically designed for demanding industrial piping systems. We offer several bending methods:
- Induction bending – an efficient hot-bending method for large boiler pipes, allowing flexibility in choosing bending radius.
- Cold bending – a cost-effective and commonly used method for smaller pipe diameters.
In addition, we manufacture and process components from our materials, covering a wide range of T- and Y-pieces for boiler pipes as well as hemispherical ends. These can be produced quickly and with consistent quality according to customer requirements.
Key benefits of prefabrication
- Greater flexibility and smarter planning already at the project stage.
- Significant cost savings and reduced delivery times.
- Safer work and higher quality through prefabrication in a controlled workshop environment.
